negative-ideological possession / anti-ideological possession

Over-reacting negatively to the positive version of ideological possession, that is, rejecting an ideology to the extreme point of mindlessly, scriptedly, rejecting any and all of its claims - in total disregard of whether the claim might be true or not - can be construed as a negative (or anti-) ideological possessive reaction to (positive) ideological possession. Both might well be avoided, as both tend to ignore evidence.

So in trying to avoid ideological possession, it might be well to not mindlessly reject all the claims of some ideologically possessed ideologue. (Nor should we by default, mindlessly accept such claims.)

For example, consider skeptics, who will question a new view, but will not question the currently prevailing paradigm - which is not true skepticism; these "skeptics" are "true believers" as much as any weird-theory-proponents of whom they are "skeptical."
