Refuting Calvinism
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; ... [God our Saviour] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. - 1 Tim 2:1-6

1 Tim 2:1-6 mentions also…
For-Against
1 Tim 2:1-6 mentions also prayer for those in authority - however, this need not exclude others. Calvinism might argue that all refers to kings and those in authority, only.
However, this mention of kings and those in authority comes after the mention of all men and quite possibly elaborates on the reason for praying for those in authority - "that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."
There is a different reason for praying for all men, which is that they might be saved.
We have 2 different groups, though one includes the other, and 2 different reasons for prayer.
Also, note the fact that this passage refers to ALL those in authority, not just SOME who are in authority. This means we are not told to pray for some in a type of people, but all in the type.
And the interpretation that ALL refers to all TYPES of people, but only SOME members of that type, is not what we see in this scripture - it is to pray for ALL in that type, not only some in that type.
